RAF Technology Appoints Bryan
Turner as Chief Technical Officer
Redmond, Washington - January 10, 2005
– RAF Technology, Inc, a leader in advanced recognition,
verification and identity authentication solutions for
government and commercial clients, is pleased to
announce the appointment of Bryan Turner as Chief
Technical Officer on January 3, 2005.
Mr. Turner brings more than 20 years
of software, engineering and professional services
experience to RAF. In his last position as Director of
Professional Services for RealNetworks Professional
Services in Seattle, he led several large scale
development efforts in the emerging market areas of
streaming media and mobile media applications and system
development. Mr. Turner’s accomplishments include
worldwide J2EE mobile media delivery platform
development and integration projects for Vodafone and
technical integration partner management for Siemens AG
for deployment of mobile media delivery at multiple
Vodafone operating companies in Western Europe. Under
Mr. Turner’s leadership, RealNetworks launched a new
J2EE solution known as the Helix Service Delivery Suite
(Helix SDS). In 2002 Mr. Turner led a J2EE design and
development project for Vodafone in the UK that
delivered one of the first mobile media delivery
applications deployed by Vodafone. Prior to relocating
to RealNetworks HQ in Seattle in 2001, Mr. Turner held
technical management leadership positions with
PictureTel Corp. and Starlight Networks where he led
multiple development and integration projects in the
eastern region of the US, including projects for Salomon
Smith Barney, GE Information Services and the US defense
department at the Pentagon. In addition to software, Mr.
Turner has experience in data networking technologies
and extensive experience in broadcast television systems
engineering and integration.
Mr. Turner’s primary initiatives at
RAF include streamlining product development processes
and expanding on RAF’s existing expertise while
targeting several new market opportunities in 2005. His
responsibilities include development of the company’s
J2EE product strategy, team build out and new product
development initiatives capitalizing on RAF’s
substantial portfolio of patents and intellectual
property in the areas of pattern recognition and
authentication. Mr. Turner holds a BS in Electrical
Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
