RAF Technology Appoints Bill
Transue as Chief Executive Officer
Redmond, WA, May 20, 2004 – RAF
Technology, Inc., a world leader in high-speed address
recognition software and authentication technology,
today announced the appointment Bill Transue as Chief
Executive Officer.
“We are very fortunate to have Bill’s
caliber of leadership to help RAF realize its growth
potential,” Mr. Jim Fruchterman, RAF's Chief Financial
Officer, noted. "Bill's initial focus will be to
capitalize on opportunities in data capture and
verification technologies and to explore new
opportunities for the company."
Prior to joining RAF, Mr. Transue was
CEO of Olapro, a leading innovator in the Enterprise
Resource Planning market, specializing in replenishment
optimization. He was also CEO of Consolidated Commerce
Inc., a software developer of collaborative commerce and
procurement solutions. Bill was a key architect in
designing and building Amazon.com’s logistics
infrastructure. Bill established the software systems
and business processes to manage the inbound flow of
product into Amazon’s supply chain network and the
outbound delivery systems to bring product to the
company’s customers. He also established the company’s
Operations Optimization group, which focused on
developing the analytical framework for reducing
inventory and operating expenses using state of the art
optimization techniques. In addition to his technical
and operational responsibilities, Bill was responsible
for the second largest P&L in the company, managing a
budget of nearly half a billion dollars. Bill has over
20 years of management, operations and software industry
experience. Prior experience includes Managing Director
of Operations for a major transportation company, Vice
President of a logistics software company, and
management consulting experience with Arthur D. Little
Inc. and DRI/McGraw-Hill. Bill received a B.S.B.A. from
Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts.
Dr. Neal Hulkower has left the company
to pursue other interests.
